Antique Dealers put Ashburton on the map! January 2019 sees the official launch of the Antiques Trail. Look out for us in local news publications.
The Antiques Trail has been created with help from local designer Stephen Howarth and acts as a signposted guide to help visitors discover the wealth of different antique shops on offer. It has already attracted much attention and admiration with local residents and businesses branding it “A brilliant idea”.
Easily accessible from the A38, Ashburton has something to offer for all tastes and budgets. With antiques ranging from the 16th to 20th century, traditional antique shops work alongside quirky and retro shops specialising in industrial design, French antiques and painted furniture. There’s plenty to choose from with shops offering everything from antique furniture, lighting and mirrors to collectables, pottery, silver, jewellery and more.
Supported by the Town Council, Ashburton Chamber of Trade and Dartmoor National Park, it is hoped that the Antiques Trail will encourage many new visitors to the town who will not only enjoy browsing the plentiful antique shops but will also enjoy the bustling high street, full of vibrant independent shops, delicious eateries and historic buildings.
